Friends "Beautification Evening" at Maplewood State Park

Description

The Friends of Maplewood are inviting all Friends members to a 'Beautification Evening' at the park on August 13th, 2025. We will meet at the Josh Hanson Picnic Shelter at 6:00pm. We plan to do some hands-on work to improve the area around the shelter, including weeding, trimming, plant maintenance, litter pickup, and more! A group hike up Hallaway Hill is planned for 7:00pm. As a thank you to everyone, we will be serving ice cream drizzled with our own Friends of Maplewood maple syrup, from trees tapped in the park and sap boiled in our Sugar Shack in Spring 2025! To attend, you must be a current member of the Friends of Maplewood State Park. All members will receive an email from Friends of Maplewood with your invitation and a link to watch a required video from the DNR in order to do hands-on work at the park. We also request an RSVP so that we have enough supplies ready. The event is free, but requires a MN State Park Pass.
